Today I fell in love with a shop!

I took a trip to Spellbound bead shop in Lichfield and stood in awe at the range of beads and the items that adorned the walls and hung from the ceiling.

The staff were helpful in pointing me in the right direction for the beads I was after and supplying helpful information to help me complete my projects.

I did buy a few things but I said I wouldn't open my bag until I had finished a few craft projects that I had already started.

In my sealed bag is something to make my mum for mothers day and the items to make part of my sisters birthday present. I also bought myself a couple of kits that I need to learn a new stitch before I try them.
My Sealed bag! Not to be opened until other projects finished

Lidl wool cardigan for £16

I went to Lidl just for a nosey round on the 28th December and spotted this wool for sale, at £3.99 for 4 balls and only (ONLY!!) 16 balls needed to make the cardigan on the front of the packaging I thought I would treat myself with some Christmas money I had received.

I get put off usually buying wool to make myself clothes as it usually works out more expensive than buying a ready knitted item, but thought I would give this a go.

On looking at the pattern it is really simple knit a square split it in to 3 at the sleeves knit each section to a certain length then rejoin all three sections and knit across to form the top. Then knit really simple sleeves.

It has knitted up really quickly though I have reduced the length as I am not very tall and thought it would swamp me! It is lovely and thick wool and can imagine snuggling up in it on a cold day.
